Gary was born on October 4, 1941 in Thibodaux to Carrie and Camille Naquin.

He has a brother Francis and a sister Janelle Naquin Beenel. Gary graduated from Thibodaux High School in 1959 &

attended Nicholls State University thru 1961.

He originally played Tenor Sax then Baritone Sax. His original band was,

"Danny & The Durels" which was started by his brother & some of his friends.

The name changed to,

"The Durels" when his brother took over as lead singer.

They played together till 1966 playing for parties, weddings & proms. The band was very popular at the local teenage

dances at Woodman of the World Hall, at Mike's Place in Chackbay, The White Star Club in Little Callou, along with

many dances along Bayou LaFourche and Terrebonne Parishes. Also, local singer Phil Bo (Boudreaux) sang with the

band for a while & did some recordings at Cosmo's Studio in New Orleans. In 1966 the band disbanded because

most all the members were married with children.

Gary now playing bass guitar continued to play with "Debbie & The Ladds" from Raceland under the management of

Gatewood "Pott" Folse. The band was asked, and won, the Louisiana State Battle of the Bands. Winning the contest

earned them a recording contract with Montel Records. In 1969, they even had their own ½ hour spot on Channel 10

in Lafayette. The band played at Signorelli's in St. Martinville, Top Hat & Tails in Breaux Bridge, The Step Inn Club in

Opelousas, The Bamboo Hut in Lake Charles, The Oaks in Vinton and The Sands in Jefferson. The band recorded 2

songs in Tyler, Texas, "Nite Owl" and "It's Been A Long Time Coming". At that time the name had changed to

"The Bad Habits".

Gary resigned the band and put his efforts into his profession as a

Gemologist. He worked locally at Peacock Jewelry for 27 years. From Peacock he moved to Clyde's Jewelers,

bought the business and remained there for 21 years till he retired in 2011.

Gary has 1 son and 1 daughter, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren

and he and his wife Barbara reside in Thibodaux, Louisiana

THE "GOOD FEELIN' BAND"

The "Good Feelin" Band was established in Thibodaux in 1977. Sammy

Acosta named the band from a hit single of the rock band, "Three Dog Night". As the group began to form it needed a

drummer & was introduced to Philip Knoblock.

Shortly thereafter, they became double brother-in-laws after marrying each others sisters. Philip's father, Verdie,

played country western lead guitar & became part of the band & was able to help these 2 youngsters form the

foundation of the band which would remain intact with mostly original members for over 45 years & still going strong

today. The 2 other original members are Barry Verdun (bass guitar) & Willis Soignet (lead guitar & vocals). Philip

"Breeze" Guidry (keyboard & sax) later joined around the time Verdie retired from the group.

Initially playing country music, the band began to mix other genres of music.

Willis had a rock n roll background having played with several different groups like, "The Knights", "Star", "Bus Riley"

& "Koldwater". As their variety of music expanded, the hand gained popularity playing for weddings & still does today.

There was a period of time when every weekend had the band playing 3 gigs: a Friday & Saturday wedding followed

by a nightclub gig & a festival or banquet dance on Saturday night. The band was a regular at Val's Lounge in

Thibodaux in the early 80's & played all the local fairs & festivals such as, Sauce Piquante, Lagniappe on the Bayou,

La Vie Lafourchez & Shrimp & Petroleum Festival. The group performed annually for the banquet dances of all the

Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Departments. More recently, the band played for the Mardi Gras tableaus followed by

dances, for the Houma Carnival Clubs, Hercules, Aphrodite, Terreanians, Houmas & Hyacinthians.

The current members of the band are manager & lead vocalist, Philip Knoblock, Sammy Acosta on guitar & vocals,

Philip Guidry on keyboards & sax, Willis Soignet on guitar & vocals, Shannon Soignet (Willis' son) on drums & vocals,

Al Levron on keyboards & vocals, Keith Hoffman on bass & Jim Taylor audio engineer.

Acosta & Knoblock agree that the reason for the longevity of the band is more than just their ties as brothers-in-law.

It's because all the members of the group are considered family on & off the bandstand

GORDON BRADBERRY

Gordon was born on April 17, 1965, to the late Frank & Marie Bradberry and was raised in Grand Isle, Louisiana. He

started playing guitar & singing at the age of 13 when a local musician (friend of the family) taught him his 1" chords.

A year later, he began writing original songs trying to mimic songs he heard on the radio and jukebox of his family's

bar business. Some of his favorite national & local artist were, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Otis Redding, Fats

Domino, Joe Barry & Vin Bruce but admits he was especially drawn to home grown Louisiana Swamp Pop.

After graduating from Grand Isle High School, he studied music theory & composition at Nicholls State University.

During that time, he formed a band called,

"Beale Street Rhythm" playing local clubs around Thibodaux, Houma, Grand Isle and New Orleans area. In 1988 he

moved to Nashville and his original song, "Final Touches" was pitched to Conway Twitty. Conway not only recorded

the song but chose it to be the title cut of his upcoming album. Gordon's original songs also caught the attention of

writer/producer Keith Stegall. In 1992, Stegall signed him to his first publishing deal, a joint venture between Lil

Cayman Music & EMI music.

His success continued with songs for acclaimed artists as, Al Anderson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Montgomery Gentry, Lee

Greenwood, Sammy Kershaw, Chris Knight, Conway Twitty, Jeff Bates, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Bucky

Covington & Wayne Toups.

One of Gordon's songs, "Long Slow Kisses" became his first top ten award winning song with RCA recording artist &

friend Jeff Bates. The song broke a Billboard chart record for being on the charts for a total of 42 weeks.

Gordon moved his family back to Louisiana in 2013 where he began once again playing live music at private

functions, festivals & venues around the state. He says playing music & sharing his original songs with people of his

home state makes him feel like a kid again. In addition to live performances, he spends part of his time teaching

songwriting at USL in Lafayette.

Gordon & his wife of 34 years, Monique, reside in Lafayette and enjoy family

gatherings with their 3 sons, Gordon, Daniel & Own and their families
